Key Challenges & Opportunities

Changing competition and converging technology have brought the telecommunications industry to one of the most challenging times in its history.  With the advent of IP technologies and the desire for ever increasing bandwidth the challenge of balancing profit and investment are as intense as ever.  Telecommunications organisations are now moving from their traditional markets into the provision of complex bundled media packages, bringing together fixed line, mobile and media organisations.  Fixed and wireless mergers and acquisitions are also contributing to the rising internal challenge of consolidation and organisational change.

Keeping up with the rapid pace of change is difficult even with the most experienced operators; the new generation network is now foremost in everyone’s mind.  Cable & Internet operators are also moving into the once solid ground of the fixed line suppliers.
